Where did we obtain your data from?
Your personal data (name, surname, professional email address, company name, and position) were obtained from the analytical platform SciLeads Ltd.
For what purpose and on what legal basis do we process your data?
The Controller processes your data for the following purposes:
• Establishing business relationships and professional networking: The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), which consists of building a network of professional contacts and exploring potential scientific and business collaborations regarding our research and development capabilities.
• Ensuring accountability and demonstrating compliance with legal obligations: The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
To whom do we transfer the data?
The recipients of your personal data will be, to the extent necessary, authorized personnel of the Controller, and trusted entities acting on behalf of the Controller (including under Art. 28 of the GDPR), such as ICT system providers and professional advisors. Your data may also be shared with national and foreign authorities authorized to process personal data under applicable law. Your data will be transferred to recipients in third countries (outside the European Economic Area) only if the European Commission has determined that the third country ensures an adequate level of protection, or if other appropriate safeguards are applied, such as Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission.
How long do we store your data?
Your personal data will be stored for the duration of the business relationship, or in the absence thereofor a period of 2 years from the date of the last contact or until an effective objection is raised by you. Data may be stored longer only for the purpose of defending against claims, for the period of their limitation as defined by law.
What are your rights?
You have the right to access your personal data, as well as the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability.
You have the right to object to the processing of your data based on our legitimate interest at any time (opt-out).
Upon receiving such an objection, we will immediately cease processing your data, although we may retain minimal data solely on a suppression list to ensure your opt-out request is respected in the future.
If you believe that the processing of your personal data by the Controller violates your rights, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office – PUODO).
