Job description

• Participating in the design and creation of scalable software
• Writing clean, functional code, front-end and back-end
• Design and implementation of new data processing algorithms and pipelines
• Performance tuning and optimization of existing pipelines
• Working in multidisciplinary teams (developers, bioinformaticians and data scientists) to understand customer requirements and provide matching solutions

Requirements

• Degree in computer science, electronic engineering or related field
• Good knowledge of Python
• Familiarity with UNIX operating systems
• Familiarity with frontend technologies: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap framework 
• Familiarity with JS front-end frameworks VueJS, React, Angular
• Documented work experience at least 2 years
• Knowledge of relational databases (eg. MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with distributed version control systems (Git or Mercurial)
• Experience with automated unit and integration testing 
• Proficiency in English with good written and verbal communication skills

You get bonus points for

• Experience working with AWS
• Knowledge of C/C++, R, Perl, Java or Groovy

• Experience in developing web applications (ideally Django or Flask) and REST APIs
• Familiarity with basic DevOps tools, eg.: Vagrant, Ansible, Docker
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies and algorithms
• Knowledge of Nextflow
• Knowledge of bioinformatics
