Life Science Business Development Director

Job description
  • Proactive new business generation with a focus on pharmaceutical and biotech companies, as well as other key industry stakeholders, in the US and Europe
  • Build and execute the sales strategy, budgets and forecasts
  • Build and maintaining long-term relationships with key accounts
  • Provide leadership and direction to the sales team members for defining and executing on their territory plans
  • Collaborate with other commercial teams to maximise opportunities from prospects and existing clients
  • Attend to world-class conferences and events with the aim of developing new business and supporting existing clients
Requirements
  • Life Science related degree. Master’s degree is required, PhD is an additional plus
  • 10+ years experience as a Business Development Director or similar role, preferred in Life Science sector
  • Proven track record of driving significant business growth (custom services, FTE model)
  • The ability to translate sales strategy into deliverable operational results
  • Ability to lead, motivate and manage BDM’s team
  • Ability to travel to Europe and the US (30-40%)
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English (C2 level)
  • High personal standards and positive personality
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communications skills
  • Sandler Selling System experience is nice to have
