Job description

• Developing and implementing solutions in research and production environments
• Working in multidisciplinary teams (developers, bioinformaticians and data scientists)
• Working closely with Ardigen’s US and EU based customers

Requirements

• Master degree in bioinformatics, data science, statistical modeling, software engineering or a related field
• Public (or private) work portfolio demonstrating mastery of the application of quantitative ideas in the context of building data products
• Strong development skills and 2 – 3 years of experience writing code and libraries/modules in R, Python, C or C++ for the purposes of data analysis
• 2 – 4 years of experience using statistical methods for hypothesis testing and/or machine learning techniques for regression and classification tasks
• 2 – 4 years of experience developing production-grade tools and applications with web-application frameworks such as Shiny, Flask, Django, etc.
• Superior communication skills, ability to describe complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
• Proficiency in English

• PhD degree
• Hands-on experience with bioinformatics protocols of data analysis for WGS, WES, RNA-Seq,ChiP-Seq, genome assembly, metagenome sequencing, etc.
• Hands-on experience in using standard, open-source bioinformatic tools (e.g. BWA, STAR,Kallisto, Salmon, GATK, bedtools, vcftool)
• Experience working with bioinformatic tools and data types
• Experience with Agile development processes – SCRUM, Kanban, etc.
