For nearly 16 years, she worked for CureVac, the global biopharmaceutical company and took responsibility as Chief Scientific and Chief Technology Officer. Her revolutionary work has supported multiple clinical trials with cancer therapies, prophylactic vaccines, and development of antibody therapies. She is the inventor of RNActive® related key patents. In 2021, Mariola Fotin-Mleczek, PhD, was named one of the Top 25 Women Leaders in Biotechnology.
