Krzysztof Kolmus, PhD

Lead Bioinformatician

Krzysztof is a lead bioinformatician at Ardigen with a deep focus on biomarker discovery and target identification using omic datasets. With over a decade of experience in both academia and industry, he brings a translational mindset to uncovering clinically relevant insights from complex datasets. He holds a PhD in biotechnology from the University of Ghent, where his research explored the modulatory impact of β2-adrenergic receptor agonists on inflammatory gene expression in the none-immune cell types.
Building on this foundation, Krzysztof contributed to the discovery and development of small-molecule inhibitors for an innate immune receptor at the University of Cambridge in collaboration with major pharmaceutical companies. He further advanced the development of personalized therapies targeting vesicular trafficking in cancer at the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, working in partnership with the Maria Skłodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology.
Currently, he leads projects focused on target nomination and biomarker identification, applying cutting-edge computational approaches to generate actionable insights using patient, cell-based and PDX-derived datasets. Passionate about turning data into discoveries, Krzysztof is dedicated to advancing biomedical research in ways that can directly impact patient wellbeing.
